hehehehe. go to www.icanhascheezburger.com if you want to see more. so yesterday we went to the lake and went on the boat all day - tubing, kneeboarding, etc. therefore... my muscles refuse to move. at all. rolling over to get out of bed this morning became a problem. haha but totally worth it. haven't posted in a while... but nobody seems to really read these things anyway. lol life is the same - swimming 150-200 laps a day when i can, bracing myself for exams, wondering how i'm going to pack my room up and take it home in 2 weeks, ready for summer... on that note, i'm going to find some Aleve and see if it will soothe my shoulders. lol | | |
| spring break has come and gone... as has my tan... lol juuuusst kidding. but i'm not kidding when i say that it was probably the best break i've had in a very long time! exactly the right length, mixed in with heaping helpings of good friends and oodles of laughter and a dose of sand. oh Elizabeth, here's the song that's on the europe DVD: "Is it love tonight When everyone's dreaming Of a better life In this world Divided by fear We've gotta believe that There's a reason we're here Yeah, there's a reason we're here
Cause these are the days worth living These are the years we're given And these are the moments These are the times Let's make the best out of our lives
See the truth all around Our faith can be broken And our hands can be bound But open our hearts and fill up the emptiness With nothing to stop us Is it not worth the risk? Yeah, is it not worth the risk?
Cause these are the days worth living These are the years we're given And these are the moments These are the times Let's make the best out of our lives Even if hope was shattered I know it wouldn't matter Cause these are the moments These are the times Let's make the best out of our lives
We can't go on Thinking it's wrong To speak our minds I've gotta let out what's inside
Is it love tonight When everyone's dreaming Can we get it right? Yeah, well can we get it right?
Cause these are the days worth living These are the years we're given And these are the moments These are the times Let's make the best out of our lives Even if hope was shattered I know it wouldn't matter Because these are the moments These are the times Let's make the best out of our lives..."

| oh how i wish i lived in the movie Click... never seen it, but i know there was a remote to life in there somewhere. if i could just hit fast forward for the next 2 hours. make that till tomorrow at 2. ha. no such luck! yes, ladies and gents, i have to write an essay in class (Humanities) for my next exam. mmhmm. i'm pretty much freaking out. he gave us 3 topics, told us to pick 2, and 2 would be on the test- giving us a choice of which to write about. he also allowed us to write as many prompts as we could fit onto a 3 x 5 notecard. so you might be thinking, ok, what's there to be worried about? wellllll... if you have small handwriting, like me, he'll accept 3 pages. if you have big writing, 5 will suffice. so i'm aiming for in between. 4 pages. yeah. RIGHT. his topics are insane! i'll show you the one i didn't pick. "Discuss the relationship between cultural and intellectual developments in ancient Greece from the incipience of tragic drama to birth of philosophy through Aristotle and the Christian tradition from the life of Christ to the theology of Thomas Aquinas. Which elements of tragedy can be located within Christian belief and which elements are incompatible with Christianity? Describe the relationship between Platonism (Plato's philosophy) and Medieval Christianity and the importance of Thomas Aquinas. In your view, which perspective is more in accordance with the gospel of Christ, the aversion of hamartia represented in tragedy or the notion of Truth represented in philosophy by Plato? Your essay might include the following topics: the concept of hamartia, the important message of John 3:16, Plato's concept of pure knowledge (episteme), Aristotle's skepticism toward Plato's philosophy and his preference for evidence." try that on for size. the other 2 that i obviously chose to research were not quite as intricate and confusing as that one. hence my choices. granted, that makes more sense to me anyway because i'm in the class so i understand a little of what he's asking for, but still. *sigh* wish me luck. and i will see some of you on SUNDAY! | | |
